Portion of South Arch Street in Connellsville to close for bridge replacement

1 min read

A portion of South Arch Street in Connellsville will close to traffic starting next Monday so that crews can begin removing the existing bridge, which is slated to be replaced by a cast-in-place box culvert.

This work is part of a $733,274 project to both replace the bridge and reconstruct the approach roadway. The project is anticipated to be complete in September 2023.

The closure will run between Cedar Avenue and Woodlawn Avenue, and remain in place through the end of September. A detour will be posted.
