Vietnam Veterans Inc. of Fayette County award Frank H. Voytek Memorial Scholarship
The Vietnam Veterans Inc. of Fayette County presented the $1,000 Frank H. Voytek Memorial Scholarship to Ty Christian Tamborino of Pittsburgh.
Tamborino is a 2023 graduate of Seton LaSalle High School in Pittsburgh, and as the captain of the football and volleyball teams and a school ambassador. He will be attending the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in July majoring in marine and environmental science.
Tamborino is the son of Dawn Marie Brain and Christian Tamborino of Pittsburgh, and is the grandson of Donald and Cheryl Voytek of Carmichaels.
The FHV Memorial Scholarship committee consists of Glenn Nielsen, President of VVI, George Vargo, John Yokobosky, Chester Prinkey, and Donald Voytek, Chairman of the committee.
