Craft beverage lovers invited to first Bonfires, Barrels & Brews

GO Laurel Highlands will celebrate fall with a cozy fire, delicious food and some of the areaĢƵ best craft beverages during the inaugural Bonfires, Barrels & Brews event at Yinzer Valley Farms in Mount Pleasant this Sunday.

A limited number of tickets are available online for the Laurel Highlands Pour Tour event, which will be held, rain or shine, from noon to 5 p.m. at Yinzer Valley Farms, an event space and cidery located at 681 Mulberry Hill Road in Mount Pleasant. Patrons must be 21 and older.

“This is a great opportunity to sample a variety of delicious craft beers, wines, ciders, meads and spirits from Laurel Highlands Pour Tour makers while enjoying the cozy warmth of a bonfire,” said Jennifer Benford, marketing director for GO Laurel Highlands. “With live music, food trucks, vendors and great company, this event promises to be a Pour Tour event to remember. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to taste the best of local beverages and enjoy the atmosphere of the Laurel Highlands countryside.”

Bonfires, Barrels & Brews is part of the Laurel Highlands Pour Tour, which links nearly 50 craft beverage makers across Fayette, Somerset and Westmoreland counties. Now in its third iteration, the Pour Tour trail showcases the regionĢƵ rich heritage, agricultural diversity and entrepreneurial spirit.

When craft beverage enthusiasts make a qualified purchase, they receive a sticker from the beverage maker for verification in the passport or they can submit a photo to the digital app to qualify for prizes from GO Laurel Highlands.

A Pour Tour event passport sticker is included with a $40 Bonfires, Barrels & Brews ticket along with a long-sleeved T-shirt, tasting glass and beverage check for purchases as well as access to vendors, food trucks and live music.

Beverage makers scheduled to attend include: Chapel Hill Wines, Dawson; El Diablo Brewing, Greensburg; Four Seasons Brewing, Latrobe; Greendance Winery, Mount Pleasant; Greenhouse Winery, Irwin; La Vigneta Winery, Greensburg; Laurel Highlands Meadery, Greensburg; Own Brook Winery, Scottdale; Red Barn Winery, Delmont; Rusty Musket Distilling, Boswell; Tall Pines Distillery, Salisbury; White Valley Distilling, Export; Yough River Brewing, Connellsville.

Food Vendors scheduled to attend are: Big Buns Cinnamon Roll Company, Circle Pit Pizza, El Diablo Brewing Co. and Wood Fire Kitchen, JessiĢƵ Chickens, Little Garden Kitchen and The Olde Spitfire Grill.

Musical entertainment will be provided by The String Theory and Manic Mango, and a number of artisan vendors will also attend.
