Olivia Lancaster, an art teacher in the Laurel Highlands School District, was invited to participate in Puppetmobiles through the Pittsburgh Cultural District and with puppet maker Cheryl Capezzuti. Lancaster then extended the invitation to her students at R.W. Clark and Marshall elementary schools.
Lancaster was one of only five artists selected for this event, and was joined by Marshall students Violet Bell, Penny Kennison, Maggie Kennison, Rosalie Filippone, and Clark students Stevie Jean Nesser and Elijah Nesser.
The Puppetmobiles will be used in the Pittsburgh New Years Eve parade.
