Connellsville Area Historical Society to host craft and vendor show

The nonprofit Connellsville Area Historical Society will celebrate the 50-year anniversary of acquiring the cabin built by soldier Col. William Crawford in 1765 with a craft and vendor show.

“It’s an opportunity to bring people out and preserve and protect the amazing history of Connellsville,” said Karen Hechler, the historical society’s president.

The cabin is located in Yough River Park, 148 Torrence Ave., Connellsville. The show will be held Saturday, Aug. 31 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, Sept 1. from noon to 7 p.m.

Admission is free for the public and will include food trucks and face painting. All proceeds from the show will go to the historical society.
