Give-A-Christmas exceeds goal
Total: $24,707
Goal: $10,000
Sparkle the Christmas Star’s eyes twinkled with joy.
The longtime mascot for the Give-A-Christmas campaign was overjoyed to see that $24,707 had been raised for local units of the Salvation Army.
“So many generous donors, including our Friends from Texas, made this fundraiser a success,” Sparkle said. “You’ve given a boost to the Salvation Army so they can continue helping our local brothers and sisters who need a hand.”
The annual campaign is run by the ĢƵ, with 100% of the proceeds going to Salvation Army locations in Fayette County. More than $1 million has been raised since Give-A-Christmas started 40 years ago.
“Merry Christmas and thank you to all who stepped forward to help,” Sparkle said. “I’ll see you again next year!”
