Newcomers lead in race for Dunbar Township supervisor

Incumbent Supervisor John Tabaj is trailing two political newcomers with 25 percent of votes tallied for the the Democratic nomination for Dunbar Township supervisor on the fall ballot.

Tabaj is seeking re-election for a second, six-year term as supervisor but is facing stiff competition from Democratic challengers Vernon Ohler and Chuck Clark in the primary vote.

There are no Republican candidates.

The unofficial tally with 25 percent of the votes tallied shows Ohler garnering 62 votes, Clark earning 55 votes and Tabaj receiving 44 votes.
