Ward wins Brownsville mayoral race

Lester Ward was re-elected Brownsville mayor in Tuesday’s general election.

According to unofficial vote totals, Ward received 338 votes to James Lawver’s 229 votes. Ward garnered 60 percent to Lawver 40 percent of the 567 votes cast. That figure does include absentee ballots but does not include provisional ballots.
