Wolf takes early lead in Democratic governor race
Gubernatorial hopeful Tom Wolf of York jumped off to an early lead Tuesday, garnering 16,749 votes in early results in his bid for the Democratic nomination.
Current state Treasurer Rob McCord, U.S. Rep. Allyson Schwartz and former state environmental Secretary Katie McGinty were trailing Wolfe with only a small percentage of the vote counted.
According to the Department of State, Schwartz had garnered 4,855 votes; McCord, 4,621 votes and McGinty, 2,398 votes.
