Bartolotta leading Solobay in 46th Senatorial District race

Republican challenger Camera Bartolotta is leading Democratic incumbent Tim Solobay in Greene and Washington counties in the 46th Senatorial District election on Tuesday.

With 43 of 44 precincts reporting in Greene County, Bartolotta was leading Solobay by a vote count of 4,353-4,329, or 50-49.8 percent, according to unofficial results.

With 85 of 184 precincts in Washington County reporting, Bartolotta was ahead of Solobay by a vote count of 13,294-11,121, or 54.4-45.5 percent, according to unofficial results.

With only 10 of 129 precincts reporting in Beaver County, Solobay was leading by a vote count of 179-116, or 60.6-39.3 percent, according to unofficial results.

The district encompasses all of Greene County, most of Washington County and part of Westmoreland, Allegheny and Beaver counties.
