After spending the majority of the past three years touring, Brantley GilbertĢƵ star continues to quickly rise. Gilbert reflects on his recent highs and lows to deliver a personal set of his best arrangements with “Just as I Am.”

The Georgia nativeĢƵ third album follows the contemporary country featured on 2010ĢƵ “Halfway to Heaven.” GilbertĢƵ latest offering is an even blend of Eric ChurchĢƵ bravado and Luke BryanĢƵ sincere charm. The no-nonsense attitude of “If You Want a Bad Boy” opens the album with a wall of grinding guitars and Gilbert singing, “We’re gonna make some noise.”

On “17 Again,” the bad boy quickly shows his sensitive side on this infectious number about the innocence of a budding romance. Garnering plenty of radio airplay over the last few months, “Bottoms Up” is the catchy first single and third No. 1 hit for Gilbert.

The albumĢƵ current single, “Small Town Throwdown,” is a rousing party anthem that features guest vocals from Justin Moore and Thomas Rhett. Gilbert tenderly captures the heartache of his 2013 split with country singer Jana Kramer on “I’m Gone.” “My Faith in You” soulfully closes the album with Gilbert relying on his faith to get him through the dark times. Gilbert once again displays his fruitful writing skills by writing or co-writing all 11 of the new tracks.

Back in 2010, the singer-songwriter displayed his generosity by co-writing “Dirt Road Anthem” and penning “My Kinda Party” for Jason Aldean. From rowdy start to solemn finish, GilbertĢƵ second major-label album masterfully captures mainstream country with heartfelt tracks that are sure to hit home with most listeners.

Loaded with plenty of swagger and honest emotion, “Just as I Am” is simply one of the finest country albums of the year.
