Pittsburgh rock all-stars to help one of own with Dylan-themed concert
A stellar lineup of Pittsburgh musicians will play a Sept. 25 benefit at the Rex Theatre to help fellow Pittsburgh musician Art Nardini who is recovering from a serious accident that took place four months ago.
Joe Grushecky & The Houserockers, members of The Clarks, Bill Deasy, Randy Baumann and Beaver County rockers Matthew Ryan and Herman Granati are among the musicians who will play their favorite Bob Dylan songs for a show that also salutes DylanÄ¢¹½ÊÓÆµ 75th birthday.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door and available now at ticketfly.com or rextheater.com.
Also performing will be Rick Witkowski, Frank Czuri, Marc Reisman, Nathan Zoob, Nevin James and John Vento, with more to be announced.
Nardini, a good friend of the local music community and bass player for GrusheckyÄ¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Houserockers, was severely injured in an April 26 accident. His road to recovery has been long and difficult, and he continues attending therapy.
The show on PittsburghÄ¢¹½ÊÓÆµ South Side will raise funds to help pay his medical expenses.
