‘Crystal,’ a Cirque Du Soleil performance on ice, headed to Pittsburgh
The acrobatics of Cirque du Soleil is headed to the ice at PittsburghĢƵ PPG Paints Arena next year, with the return of “Crystal.”
The one-of-a-kind production brings the circus arts to the ice for the very first time for seven performances between Jan. 18 and 21.
Since 2017, more than 1.9 million people in 130 cities across the world have seen “Crystal,” which blends ice skating with acrobatics and aerial feats.
“(The show) really pushes the boundaries of possibility within the circus arts. The show highlights Cirque du SoleilĢƵ creativity in a new way and encourages audiences to find the magic of the everyday,” says Robert Tannion, the artistic director for “Crystal.” “Every time you watch, thereĢƵ something new to see and experience.”
Shows will be held at 7 p.m. Jan. 18-19; 11:30 a.m., 3:30 and 7:30 p.m. Jan. 20, and at 1 and 5 p.m. on Jan. 21.
