PA Trolley Museum hosting Halloween fun
ItÄ¢¹½ÊÓƵ time for fall-themed fun at the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum.
The museumÄ¢¹½ÊÓƵ annual Pumpkin Patch Trolley runs Friday, Oct. 20 through Sunday, Oct. 22, and its Trick or Trolley is slated for Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 28-29.
Visitors are invited to experience the fall season with rides on trolleys that are outfitted with autumn decorations and head to the Trolley Display building, where they can tour the large collection of trolleys.
During Pumpkin Patch Trolley, children (who are invited to dress in costume) can select a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch and then take it to the events room where they will be able to decorate it. There will be childrenÄ¢¹½ÊÓƵ games and complimentary fall-themed refreshments.
Those boarding the Trick or Trolley are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes and will be able to trick or treat at local businesses and organizations stationed throughout the museum.
Both events include childrenÄ¢¹½ÊÓƵ games and complimentary fall-themed refreshments and run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The last trolley of the day will depart at 3:30 p.m.
Tickets for the events are $15 for adults, $14 for those 62 and older and $14 for those ages 3 to 15. Children under 3 are free, but those taking a ride on the Pumpkin Patch Trolley are required to purchase a pumpkin.
Tickets can be purchased in advance online at www.patrolley.org, with admission also included for tours of the museum and unlimited trolley rides. Those individuals who purchase advance tickets will receive priority boarding on the trolleys.
The museum will also offer park-and-ride service to the Washington County Fairgrounds during the Pennsylvania Arts & Crafts Christmas Festival, which runs Fridays through Sundays, Oct. 20-22 and 27-29. Cost is $3, and the service is separate from the museumÄ¢¹½ÊÓƵ fall-themed trolley events.
