Pittsburgh CLO announces summer lineup of musicals
From new musicals to classics, Pittsburgh CLO’s recently announced summer season has something for everyone.
PCLO’s season features three shows at the Benedum Center, two at the Greer Cabaret Theater, and one family-friendly show at the Byham Theater.
The 2024 summer performances include “Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill,” May 13-June 30 at the Greer; “West Side Story,” June 11-16 at the Benedum; “The Color Purple,” June 25-30 at the Benedum; “The Music Man,” July 9-14 at the Benedum; “Young Frankenstein,” July 19-Sept. 1 at the Greer; and “Seussical,” July 30-Aug. 4 at the Byham.
Pittsburgh CLO is one of the last large-scale summer stock musical theaters in the U.S., and has a history spanning 77 years.
“Seeing the joy of our audiences this past summer, their applause, and shared love of live musical theatre is what’s making this journey so rewarding” said Mark Fleischer, executive producer of Pittsburgh CLO. “We are excited to share a change that we believe will elevate our audience’s theatre experience and bring even more variety and excitement to our stages.”
