WAYNESBURG — To the delight of country music fans, Chris Higbee is returning to Greene County once again to perform at the Greene County Fair on Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 8:15 p.m.

Like in years past, the concert is guaranteed to be an energetic and electric performance. Higbee is not only a singer and songwriter but also an expert fiddle-player. His engaging presence and honed-fiddle-playing skills are sure to impress every member of the audience.

Despite touring across the country and performing over 150 shows, Higbee still managed to return to the Greene County Fair to entertain crowds and please fans.

This year, fans may have a chance to hear brand new songs from HigbeeĢƵ newest album, which was released May 26. His newest album, titled “Ready or Not,” was funded through a Kickstarter fundraiser online; the much-loved musician was able to produce the album through the devotion and support of his fans.

With a goal to raise $45,000 to cover the cost of recording an album, Higbee was able to raise over $56,000 due to an overwhelming demand for more of his music. His charm and skill have won him a fanbase that will give anything to keep him performing.

The newest album has 14 new tracks, including songs such as “Angry American,” which reflects HigbeeĢƵ strong sense of patriotism – something that many fans respect about Higbee. HigbeeĢƵ wife, Melissa Higbee, is now a Senior Drill Sergeant in the U.S. Army, and has inspired HigbeeĢƵ music in the past, as has his love of his country.

Though new songs may be debuted, HigbeeĢƵ classic hits can be expected at this yearĢƵ concert, such as as “Guilty as Charged,” “Fiddles Rock,” “Hillbillyology,” and “Wild and Crazy.”

The Greene County Fair is the perfect opportunity to see HigbeeĢƵ lively and unique brand of country music in person. His talents have been greatly appreciated in years past and are guaranteed to be a crowd-pleaser once again.
