By For The Greene County Messenger 1 min read

The Section 4-AAA individual wrestling tournament Saturday at Trinity will decide which five wrestlers advance to the WPIAL Championships next week, and five Waynesburg Central wrestlers enter the section tournament as top seeds.

Caleb Morris (28-4) has a bye into the 120-pound semifinals.

Cole Rush (23-7) faces Blackhawk’s Emmanuel Hilton (6-12) in the first round at 126 pounds, while Shaun Wilson (30-5) puts his top seed at 138 pounds against Chartiers Valley’s Ty Thomas (4-15) in a first-round bout.

Trey Howard (21-11) wrestles Blackhawk’s Bobby Rose (4-11) in the first round at 145 pounds, and Colin McCracken (29-9) received a bye in the 182-pound semifinals.

Terry Victor (23-6) is seeded second at 152 pounds and wrestles Moon’s Keegan Forsythe (8-11) in his opening bout.

The top five wrestlers in each of the 14 weight classes advance to the WPIAL finals. The 220-pound class has just four wrestles and 195 has five, meaning all the wrestlers need to do to advance is make weight that morning. The 120-pound class has six wrestlers with one being eliminated.
