By For The Greene County Messenger 1 min read

Rachel Rohanna had a rocky front nine in Friday’s second round of the Marathon Classic presented by Owens Corning and O-I, but had a solid par round on the back to make the cut at 1-over 143.

The Waynesburg Central shot 3-over 40 with four bogeys and just one birdie on the back nine of Highland Meadows Golf Club to open the second round.

She made the turn on No. 1 and finished with nine consecutive pars to finish in a tie for 55th place heading into the third round.

Lydia Ko and Hyo Joo Kim share the second round lead at 8-under 134.

Rohanna needed 28 putts in the second round after a 24-putt first round. She hit 9-of-14 fairways and 8-of-18 greens in regulation.
