By For The Greene County Messenger 1 min read

The Waynesburg Central girls kept kept breezing through Section 6-AA competition by sweeping past Frazier (96-44) and Bentworth (95-45) at home Thursday afternoon.

The Lady Raiders improve to 5-0 in the section.

Waynesburg swept all but one of the track events against Frazier with Lindsee Zimmer (800, 1,600, 3,200) and Megan McElligot (100, 200) having multiple first-place finishes.

Frazier fared well in the field against the two teams with Alena Blaszczak (long jump, javelin) and Annya Kossol (triple jump, high jump) winning two events apiece.

Bentworth’s Brenna Cavanaugh had three overall first-place finishes (100 high hurdles, 100, 300 intermediate hurdles). Heather Chester won three events against the Lady Raiders, the javelin, shot put and discus.
