WPIAL softball quarterfinal sites, times announced
The five remaining local softball teams know where they’re playing and when on Monday as the WPIAL playoffs move into the quarterfinal round.
The two Class AAA games feature two local teams facing one another.
Yough (16-2) plays Elizabeth-Forward (12-5) at California University of Pa.’s Lilley Field at 3 p.m. Westmoreland County rivals Southmoreland (13-2) and Mount Pleasant (10-5) travel to Latrobe for an evening start time at 7 p.m.
Top-seeded West Greene (20-1) is on the road at Canon-McMillan to face Union (12-5), while Monessen (14-5) heads up Route 51 to play Serra Catholic (14-0).
