Lady Raiders shut out Derry, 4-0

Jillian Kijowski scored two goals and Emily McCarty was strong in the net for Waynesburg Central as the Lady Raiders shut out visiting Derry, 4-0, in Section 3-AA action Saturday night.

Kijowski scored the first goal of the game off a Haley Berry assist and the first goal of the second half on a penalty kick.

Claire Garber scored from Elle Hampson’s corner kick. Kaley Pell capped the scoring with an unassisted goal.

McCarty turned aside the four shots she faced. The Lady Raiders peppered the Derry goal with 20 shots.

Waynesburg improves to 7-0 in the section and 10-1 overall, and travels to Charleroi on Monday.
