Rockets blast past Avella, 59-34
Jefferson-Morgan and Avella put up 92 points between them in Friday’s Tri-County South Conference game, but it was the Rockets who prevailed with a 59-34 victory.
Jefferson-Morgan (1-3, 1-5) led 14-13 after the first quarter and 27-26 at halftime. The Rockets extended their lead to 47-34 after three quarters.
The Rockets’ Joe Headlee ran the ball 36 times for 370 yards and four touchdowns. Brennan Kozich ran for 32 yards and two touchdowns. David Morgan completed 6-of-11 for 180 yards and one interception. D.L. Garrett caught three passes for 108 yards and three touchdowns.
