Lady Maples defeat Geibel Catholic, 3-1
The Mapletown girls volleyball team finally cracked into the Section 2-A win column with a 3-1 victory Thursday night against visiting Geibel Catholic.
The Lady Maples (1-9, 2-10) lost the first set, 25-10, but rallied to win the final three, 25-20, 25-20, 25-20.
Taylor Vanata led Mapletown with 11 kills. Aliceon Clark finished with nine kills and Kaley Wagner had eight. Morgan Helmick finished with a team-high 21 assists and Mackenzie Cree had three aces.聽
