Raiders shut out Beth-Center, 7-0
Gavin Benson scored the hat trick Saturday night as Waynesburg Central closed the regular season with a 7-0 non-section victory against visiting Beth-Center.
Waynesburg finishes the regular season with an overall mark of 14-1-0, and waits word on the Class AA playoff schedule.
Benson scored the Raiders’ first, fourth and sixth goals of the first half.聽
Blake Brewer scored a goal and assisted on two others. Jack Church had a goal and an assist. Jimmy George and Zach Yenchik also scored for the Raiders.
Dalton Watson assisted on Yenchik’s second half goal.
Jonathan Sakai and Scotty Benco didn’t face a shot in the Raiders’ goal.
