Rohanna shoots 73 in final round
Robert Rohanna wasn’t able to maintain the momentum of the third round into Sunday’s final round of the Colombia Classic, finishing with a 2-over 73 to slip into a tie for 34th place.
The Waynesburg Central graduate finished at 3-over 287 to fall nine spots in the final round. He won $1,004.06 and slipped one spot to 26th place on the Order of Merit with earnings of $30,256.
Colombian Andres Eschavarria shot 8-under 276 for the title.
Rohanna stayed away from big numbers, although he wasn’t able to put together many birdies over the four rounds. He had one birdie and three bogeys in the final round. Rohanna played the front nine in 1-over 37 and the back in 1-over 36 on Club Campestre de Cali in Cali, Colombia.
“Only nine birdies in four days. The course was hard, but not that hard. I missed a lot of opportunities on all aspects. I was just a less than ideal week out there,” Rohanna said via Facebook Messenger.Â
Rohanna was less than pleased with his play on the greens in the final round.”
“I had 36 putts today. And, I really didn’t feel that I putted bad. I just couldn’t get the speed right. They were so firm, very good greens that looked like they should be super fast and they were just so slow. I just couldn’t get myself to hit it harder,” said Rohanna.
Rohanna returns back to the United States for a week before returning to Argentina for the next two tournaments on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica. The Argentina Classic presented by NEC on Nov. 10-13 at C.C.G. Las Praderas de Lujan in Lujan-Buenos Aires, Argentina, and the 111the VISA Open de Argentina on Nov. 17-20 at Olivos Golf Club in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
