Raiders down Trinity, 4-1

After a scoreless first half, Waynesburg Central put up four goals in 20 minutes in the second half for a 4-1 non-section victory Saturday at Trinity.

Blake Brewer opened the scoring for the Raiders off an assist from Gavin Benson at 55:01 into the game.

Trinity’s Logan Mowl tied the game six minutes later, but Jack Church converted a Brewer pass into the go-ahead goal at 68:28.

Brewer and Dylan Cowell added insurance goals later in the half.

The Raiders’ Jonathan Sakai made four saves to preserve the win. Trinity’s Sam Day made 15 saves.

Waynesburg improves to 3-0 overall.
