Raiders turn on the offense in 11-3 win

Waynesburg Central scored three runs in both the first and second inning and then breezed to an 11-3 Section 3-AAA victory over visiting Southmoreland.

Southmoreland (0-3, 0-4) scored its runs in the top of the fifth inning, only to have the Raiders (2-0, 4-1) respond with four runs in the bottom of the inning.

Ryan Braun pitched in the middle innings to earn the win, allowing no runs on two hits with three strikeouts and one walk.

Hunter Robinson went 3-for-3 with a double, two singles, an RBI and four runs scored. Luke Robinson went 2-for-2 with two walks, two RBI and a run scored. Dalton Riggenbach was 3-for-4 and Brandon Turcheck had a double.
