Rohanna finishes tied in fourth at PHC Classic
Rachel Rohanna felt she could’ve scored better, but the Waynesburg Central graduate scored well enough Sunday to finish tied for fourth in the PHC Classic.
Rohanna was one of six golfers to finish tied at 8-under 208. She shot 1-under 71 in the final round.
Rohanna had two birdies on the front nine to go to 9-under for the tournament, moving into a tie for first after the second birdie.
She went out in 2-under 34.
Rohanna opened the back nine with a bogey and gave away another shot with a bogey on No. 17. She closed the final round with a birdie to play the back in 1-over 37.
“I putted terribly today. I think I hit 16 greens. I’m pretty disappointed with my score. I felt that it could’ve been an easy 66 or 67,” said Rohanna.
Rohanna had three rounds under par.
“Yeah, overall it was a good (tournament). It’s just very frustrating to be playing well during perfect conditions and only walk away -1 for the day,” added Rohanna.
Rohanna is off until the end of the month when she is scheduled to play the LPGA event in Portland. Then she’s off to the LPGA event in Indianapolis.
