Josh Clites kicked the winning extra point and had a drive-killing interception Friday night as Jefferson-Morgan held on for a 7-6 non-conference victory at Chartiers-Houston.

DL Garrett caught a 35-yard pass from Jacob Broadwater with 1:10 remaining in the first half and Clites hit the extra point for the final points of the game.

Matt Whitfield powered in from two yards with 1:26 left in the first quarter, but the point-after was missed.

Clites’ interception happened in the third quarter with the Bucs inside the Rockets’ 15-yard line.

Colten Davidson had an 85-yard kickoff return after Whitfield’s touchdown, but the return was nullified with a block in the back penalty.

Davidson led the Rockets’ with 11 carries for 68 yards. Broadwater completed two passes, both to Garrett, for 53 yards with an interception.
