Fast start lifts Lady Colonials to 43-27 win over Waynesburg

Albert Gallatin roared out to a 19-4 lead in the first period and cruised past visiting Waynesburg Central, 43-27, for its second straight win in non-section girls basketball action on Tuesday night.

Abby King paced the Lady Colonials with a game-high 16 points and freshman Bryn Bezjak followed with 13.

The Lady Raiders kept battling and out-scored AG in the second (7-6) and fourth (12-8) periods, but the Lady Colonials maintained their lead the rest of the way and were up 25-11 at halftime and 35-15 after three frames.

Emma Mankey paced Waynesburg with eight points.

Albert Gallatin improves to 2-1 while the Lady Raiders fall to 1-2.
