Lady Pioneers remain unbeaten with 54-45 win
The Lady Pioneers ran out to a 25-10 lead Friday night and then held on as West Greene defeated visiting Washington, 54-45, for a non-section victory.
The Prexies (3-2) made a run in the second quarter to cut the lead to 34-28 at halftime, and made it even closer after the third quarter at 41-40.
The Pioneers (4-0) secured the win with a 13-5 fourth quarter.
West Greene’s McKenna Lampe led all scorers with 17 points, including 8-of-8 from the foul line. Madison Lampe scored 13 and Kaitlin Rizor added 8.
Carley Allen scored 15 for Washington and Torri Finley added 11.
