Raiders advance 10 wrestlers to WPIAL finals
Waynesburg Central had a successful day at the WPIAL Section 4-AAA individual wrestling tournament held at Trinity High School with nine wrestlers advancing to the WPIAL Championships.
Caleb Morris (132), Colin McCracken (195), Kyle Homet (170), and Trey Howard (145) won section titles.
Ryan Braun was a runner-up at 126 pounds, as was Connor Main at 220 pounds.
Colby Morris finished fourth at 138 pounds. Tim Swiger (285) and Caleb Stephenson (152) both won their 5th-place consolation bouts.
Challen Spitznogle made the awards podium, finishing sixth at 160 pounds, but did not gain a berth into the district championship.
