Yellow Jackets roll past Thiel, 32-12
The Waynesburg wrestling team had an eventful road trip Friday, returning home with a 32-12 Presidents’ Athletic Conference victory at Thiel.
The Yellow Jackets improve to 2-1 in the conference and 11-13 overall.
Tristan Buxton secured a 12-3 major decision at 125 pounds. Filippo Crivelli won a 14-5 major decision at 141.聽
Waynesburg Central grad Shaun Wilson won by forfeit. Derek Hull won the Yellow Jackets’ third major decision of the match at 174 pounds.
Ryan Shank rolled to 17-1 technical fall at 184 pounds, and Kenneth Burrs won a 5-3 decision at 197.
Heavyweight Jake Evans closed the match with a pin in 1:07.
