Charleroi ekes out 3-2 win over Lady Raiders
Charleroi scored single runs in the third, fifth and sixth innings, and Ashley Smith made the runs stand for a 3-2 Section 3-AAA victory at Waynesburg Central.
The Lady Raiders (4-5, 8-6) scored single runs in the bottom of the third and fourth innings.
Taylor Boyd’s solo home run in the sixth inning was the game-winning run. Ciara Stickles doubled for the Lady Cougars (2-7, 2-10).
Sydney Hare had a double for Waynesburg. Emma Ricciuti allowed five hits, struck out four and walked three.
