Lady Mikes win again, 4-2
The Carmichaels softball team rallied into the lead in the bottom of the third inning Wednesday and the combination of Lauren Walker and Kylie Sinn made the advantage stand for a 4-2 Section 2-A win over Jefferson-Morgan.
The tying and go-ahead runs were scored on an error.
The Lady Mikes (9-1, 13-4) added a single run in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Walker started and went five innings, allowing one run on six hits with five strikeouts and no walks. Sinn pitched the final two innings to earn the save, striking out four and walking one.
Gina Ranieri (triple), Krista McCartney (double), and Brooke Diamond (double) had extra-base hits for the Lady Mikes.
Caitlyn Dugan took the loss. She also doubled.
