Mikes defeat Frazier, 9-1
Carmichaels scored all the runs it needed in the second inning as the Mikes defeated Frazier, 9-1, in Section 1-AA action Wednesday afternoon.聽
The Mikes improve to 9-3 in the section and 11-4 overall. The Commodores go to 4-8 in the section and 4-10 overall.
Carmichaels scored three runs in the bottom of the second inning and Frazier countered with a run in the top of the third.
The Mikes added single runs in the fourth and fifth innings, and four more in the bottom of the sixth.
Logan Mayhle went the first five innings for the win. He allowed one run on three hits with three strikeouts and four walks.
Cody Brown led the Mikes with three singles, two runs scored and an RBI. Joel Spishock drove in two runs. Dylan Wilson doubled and had an RBI. Nathan Broadwater and Chad Ruse also drove in a run.
Shane McGavitt had a double and single, and Jacob Olbrys singled to account for Frazier’s hits.
