Mikes cruise to 11-1 win at Chartiers-Houston

Carmichaels scored seven runs in the top of the fifth inning Thursday to invoke the mercy rule as the Mikes handed Chartiers-Houston an 11-1 loss in Section 1-AA play.

The Bucs (10-3, 11-5) led 1-0 after the first inning, but Carmichaels rallied into the lead with four runs in the top of the third.

Nathan Broadwater had a solid game for the Mikes (10-3, 12-4) with a double, two singles, two RBI and two runs scored. Dylan Wilson, Matt Barrish and Jacob Hair all had two hits in the victory.

Barrish pitched all five innings, allowing three hits with three strikeouts and four walks.
