Lady Mikes win wild 16-11 game at McGuffy

The Carmichaels softball scored four runs in the top of the seventh inning Monday afternoon to secure a wild 16-11 non-section win at McGuffey.

McGuffey (6-11) led 6-2 after two innings, but the Lady Mikes moved into a 7-6 lead after four innings. The visitors extended the lead to 11-7 after five innings.

The Lady Highlanders scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to make the score 12-10.

Kylie Sinn went the distance for the win, striking out four and walking three. She also belted a three-run home run in the seventh inning.

Laura Walker also had a three-run home run, while Shelbee McCann had a pair of solo home runs.

Laura Walker, Megan Walker, Natalie McNett and Morgan Faddis all doubled for the Lady Mikes (14-5).

All Carmichaels starters finished with at least two hits apiece.

Megan Gray hit a home run for McGuffey.
