Lady Raiders to play at Hempfield
The Waynesburg Central girls soccer team will remain in District 7 when the Lady Raiders travel to Hempfield Saturday to face Bedford in the PIAA girls Class AA soccer playoff quarterfinals.
The Lady Raiders, WPIAL champions, face the Lady Bisons, the District 5 champs, at noon.
Waynesburg advanced into the quarterfinals with a 6-0 win against Harbor Creek, while Bedford slipped by Schuylkill Valley, 1-0.
St. Basil plays Midd-West at 1 p.m. at Cedar Crest High School, Boiling Springs faces NW Lehigh at Hamburg Area High School at 2 p.m., and Mercyhurst Prep plays Karns City at 4 p.m. at Slippery Rock High School.
