Yellow Jackets lose opener on the road

Muskingum scored in each of the final three quarters Saturday afternoon for a 19-0 non-conference victory over visiting Waynesburg.

After a scoreless first quarter, Brody Hahn powered in from two yards for the first touchdown of the game. Austin Alice added the point-after for a 7-0 lead with four seconds left in the half.

Alice hit field goals of 28 and 27 yards in the third quarter for a 13-0 lead, and Bernard Johnson capped the scoring at 7:41 of the fourth quarter on a 67-yard run.

Johnson led all rushers with 125 yards on 20 carries. Hahn added 48 on 14 carries.

Austin Wilson led the Yellow Jackets with 28 yards rushing on 10 carries. Tyrone Perone completed 11-of-36 passes for 95 yards and two interceptions. Garrett Guthrie caught two passes for 55 yards.
