Lady Falcons win two at Waynesburg track
Waynesburg Central 114, West Greene 21; Waynesburg Central 82, Beth-Center 62; Brownsville 124, West Greene 12; Brownsville 82, Waynesburg Central 67; Beth-Center 114, West Greene 16 – The Brownsville girls were tough in the distance events, sweeping past Waynesburg Central and West Greene in a Section 6-AA quad meet at Waynesburg.
The Lady Falcons defeated the Lady Raiders, 82-67, and the Lady Pioneers, 124-12. Brownsville will run Beth-Center later in the season.
Waynesburg defeated West Greene, 114-21, and Beth-Center, 86-62. The Lady Bulldogs beat West Greene, 114-16.
The trio of Sara and Jessica Vance and Gionna Quarzo led the way for the Lady Falcons. The trio joined Ashton Reposky to win the 3,200 relay in 10:51.90. Quarzo, Sara Vance and Jessica Vance went 1-2-3 in the 1,600, with Quarzo winning in 5:21.19. Quarzo, Jessica Vance and Sara Vance took the top three spots in the 800 with Quarzo crossing the line first in 2:31.25. Quarzo, Sara Vance and Jessica Vance crossed the finish line in order in the 3,200, with Quarzo breaking the tape in 11:20.23.
Taylor Mayers (100 high hurdles, 17.71), Jamilah Copeland (100, 13.59; 200, 28.02), 400 relay (54.09), and Maqaria Isaac (triple jump, 30-5陆) also had overall first-place finishes for the Lady Falcons.
Emma Mankey (400, 1:06.91), 1,600 relay (4:55.47), Bree Echegaray (high jump, 4-8), Juliana Fowler (long jump, 15-2戮), Madison Brooks (shot put, 34-8; discus, 96-6), and Taylor Shriver (pole vault, 9-0) finished first overall for the Lady Raiders.
Kinlee Whited (300 intermediate hurdles, 52.65) and Kennedy Kuhns (javelin, 114-7) had first-place finishes for Beth-Center.
