Lady Trojans win season opener, 47-35
California held the advantage in the middle quarters, as the host Lady Trojans defeated Waynesburg Central, 47-35, Friday in the opening round of the Trojans Tip-Off Tournament.
California outscored the Lady Raiders in the second and third quarters, 26-7, while Waynesburg held a 28-21 advantage in the first and fourth quarters.
Makayla Boda led the Lady Trojans with 15 points. Sydney Smichnick finished with 11.
Clara Paige Miller scored a game-high 19 points for Waynesburg.
