Pioneers clinch playoff berth
The West Greene boys clinched their third consecutive WPIAL playoff berth Friday night, going on the road to defeat Mapletown, 65-37, in Section 2-A play.
The Pioneers improve to 5-3 in the section and 7-12 overall. The third straight playoff berth comes on the heels of 22 years of not advancing to the WPIAL playoffs.
The Maples fall to 0-9 in the section and 0-20 overall.
Nathan Brudnock scored a game-high 28 points for the Pioneers. Gavin Scott added 18.
Ryan Carter led the Maples with 15 points.
