Maples defeat West Greene on the mats, 36-24

Mapletown won two of the three bouts contested Wednesday night by fall, defeating visiting West Greene, 36-24, for a Section 2-AA (2A) victory.

The Maples’ JT Hennessy pinned Wyatt Hoag in 24 seconds at 145 pounds, while Kevin Hayes needed 3:37 for his fall against Isaac Courtwright at 160.

The Pioneers’ Conner Main won by fall at 220 pounds, pinning Tanner Weston in 1:59.

Mapletown’s Robert Friend (195), Cameron Rush (285), Billy Pauly (106), and Jayden Pauly (120) all won by forfeit.

The Pioneers’ John McCreedy (120), Braden Moony (126), and Wyatt Tedrow (132) won by forfeit.

Bouts at 138, 152, 170 and 182 pounds were not contested.
