Strong finish carries Brownsville to 36-29 win

The Brownsville girls scored nearly half their game total in the final eight minutes Monday night as the visiting Lady Falcons returned home from Waynesburg Central with a 36-29 Section 2-AAA victory.

Brownsville (1-5, 3-10) led 12-9 at halftime, but the Lady Raiders surged to a 25-22 lead after three quarters.

The Lady Falcons rallied back in the fourth quarter, outscoring the home squad, 16-4.

Alexis Carson led Brownsville with 18 points.

Emma Mankey had 10 points and five steals for the Lady Raiders (1-5, 2-10).
