Barrish’s free throws lift Mikes to 53-49 win
Matt Barrish made 10-of-12 free throw attempts in the fourth quarter Wednesday night, lifting Carmichaels to a 53-49 non-section victory over visiting Beth-Center.
The Mikes (7-8) outscored the Bulldogs in the final quarter, 24-19.
Carmichaels led 12-9 after the first quarter, but Beth-Center (5-10) rallied for an 18-15 lead. The Bulldogs maintained a slim 30-29 lead after the third quarter.
Barrish finished with a game-high 16 points. Nick Mundell added 15.
Beth-Center freshman Easton McDaniel scored a game-high 31 points, including 15 in the fourth quarter. He finished with seven 3-pointers. JJ Green added 12.
