Leopards defeat Waynesburg, 87-73
The Belle Vernon boys scored over 20 points in three of the four quarters Friday night, as the visiting Leopards returned home from Waynesburg Central with an 87-73 Section 3-AAAA victory.聽
The Leopards improve to 7-2 in the section and 12-4 overall, while the Raiders slip to 1-9 in the section and 4-13 overall.
Belle Vernon led 22-15, 44-35 and 63-47 at the quarter breaks.
Bryce Washington led the Leopards with 21 points. Joe Sabolek finished with 15, Derek Thomas had 12 and Logan Pfrogner added 11 for Belle Vernon.
Darton McIntire scored a game-high 31 points for Waynesburg. Avery McConville added 13.
