Waynesburg women rally past UPG, 71-67
The Waynesburg women overcame an 8-point deficit heading into the fourth quarter to rally for a 71-67 non-conference victory over visiting Pitt-Greensburg.
The Yellow Jackets (2-3) trailed 56-44 after three quarters, but secured the victory by outscoring Pitt-Greensburg in the final quarter, 29-11.
Waynesburg led at halftime, 34-31.
Andrea Orlosky led the Yellow Jackets with a game-high 21 points. Elena McDermott and Erin Joyce both scored 15, and Brooke Fuller also finishing in double digits with 12 points.
Maddie Sitler led Pitt-Greensburg with 17 points. Colleen Murphy (16), Sam Ballow (15), and Nadege Durand (10) also finished in double digits.
