Lady Mikes wrap up undefeated season

The Carmichaels girls volleyball team wrapped up an undefeated season Thursday night with a 3-1 victory in Section 2-A action against visiting Mapletown.

The Lady Mikes go to 14-0 in the section, as well as overall, and await word about next week’s WPIAL playoffs.

Mapletown finishes in fifth place with a record of 7-7 in the section and 8-8 overall.

Carmichaels’ Grace Kerr had a triple-double with 20 assists, 11 digs and 11 service points. Emily Mundell had a team-high 17 service points. Micaela Ricco finished with 11 digs and eight service points. Abigail Fordyce (8 service points), Meighan Spishock (14 digs), Taylor Christopher (8 kills), Emma Hyatt (9 kills), and Nicole Ludrosky (8 kills) also contributed in the victory.

The Lady Maples’ Sydney Kuis  finished with a team-high 22 digs. Madison Kuis had a double-double with 18 digs and 10 kills. Aliceon Clark had seven kills and six digs, and Macee Cree had a solid all-around performance with six aces, 19 assists and seven digs.
