Carmichaels sweeps by Lady Pioneers, 3-0
The Carmichaels girls volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 victory in Section 2-A action Thursday night against visiting West Greene.
The Lady Mikes won by the set scores, 25-20, 25-19, 25-8.
Micaela Ricco had a double-double for Carmichaels (4-0, 4-0) with 17 digs and 18 service points. Meighan Spishock had a strong defensive effort with 10 digs and five kills. Taylor Christopher had a nice all-around game with 16 assists, six kills and two blocks. Emma Hyatt (7 kills, 4 blocks) and Alexandra McGee (14 assists) also contributed to the win.
The Lady Mikes next play Tuesday against Jefferson-Morgan.
